VSH CPAs Announces Promotions of Summer Mitchell and Olivia Hanson to Senior Accountant

BELLINGHAM, Wash., September 8, 2026 — VSH CPAs has promoted Summer Mitchell, MBA, and Olivia Hanson, CPA, to Senior Accountant, effective July 1, 2026. The promotions reflect the continued growth of the firm’s tax practice and its ongoing investment in its people.
Summer Mitchell is a member of VSH’s International Tax team, where she works with businesses and individuals on U.S. and international tax matters. She works with clients on tax compliance, cross-border expansion and business consulting.
Mitchell earned both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Western Washington University. After beginning her career in administrative roles at the university, she returned to accounting following graduate school and joined VSH, where she has continued to build her expertise in international tax.
Olivia Hanson works with business owners on tax planning, compliance, and advisory matters. Her work includes tax compliance, researching complex tax issues, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, and providing strategic guidance. She has particular experience working with businesses in the construction and manufacturing industries.
A licensed CPA and member of the Washington Society of CPAs, Hanson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Washington University. She joined VSH in 2026 after gaining experience in both public accounting and an internal accounting role.

The promotions follow the recent appointment of Natalie Trudell, CPA, as VSH’s first Director of Tax. The three appointments expand the firm’s tax leadership and senior-level team, a strong indicator of the firm’s growth.
