Cordata Neighborhood Association Publishes Their History with Village Books

Cordata Neighborhood Association works with Village Books to publish its history in new book, A Beacon of Community Development
The Cordata Neighborhood Association celebrates the recent publication of its history book, A Beacon of Community Development, at a 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29 Literature Live at Village Books in Fairhaven. This collaborative effort chronicles the catalyst, birth, growth, and development of the Cordata Neighborhood Association. The book narrates the changes brought to the Cordata area and memorializes the efforts of the association's visionary founders as they advocated for that neighborhood.
Author Ralph Myers lives in the Cordata neighborhood and is the association's designated historian. He also serves on the board. Myers has written and published four other books prior to this one. He donated his time and talents to writing this book and thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Julianna Royal Guy, a co-founder of the Cordata Neighborhood Association.
A Beacon of Community Development, published through Village Books independent publishing program, is available at the bookstore.
