Upcoming Event Series to Showcase Sustainable Aviation Fuel Opportunities for Northern Cascades Bus

[Everett, Washington] The Northwest Innovation Resource Center (NWIRC) is launching the
Northern Cascades Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Event Series, three half-day events
designed to help regional businesses, entrepreneurs, and workforce professionals find
their role in the Pacific Northwest’s growing sustainable aviation fuel industry.
The series begins Thursday, February 26 in Snohomish County, followed by sessions in
Sedro-Woolley on Tuesday, March 10 and Bellingham on Thursday, April 9. Each event will
focus on a specific dimension of SAF development—from supply chain opportunities and
feedstock innovation to workforce training and advanced manufacturing—and will feature
industry leaders, SAF producers, researchers, and regional partners.

region’s longstanding legacy in the aerospace industry with its emerging role in global

The series is designed for businesses and professionals across the region's industrial
base, including petroleum refinery operators and suppliers, manufacturers, engineering
and technical services firms, forestry and timber companies, transportation and logistics
providers, waste management businesses, and workforce development professionals.
Entrepreneurs and innovators exploring clean energy opportunities are also encouraged to
attend, along with anyone interested in understanding how the SAF industry could create
new jobs and business opportunities as it becomes established in the Northern Cascades
region.
