LYNDEN, WASHINGTON – The Northwest Washington Fair completed its ten-day event, August 7- 16, 2025, celebrating agriculture, community, education, entertainment, and youth involvement. Seven free or reduced gate admission days provided guests with different ways to receive complimentary gate admission to The Fair, while also giving back to the community. 4-H, FFA, and Open Class exhibitors outdid themselves with their animals and projects, and the Bank of the Pacific Grandstand Entertainment Series saw ten nights of top-tier shows. The Fair would like to say thank you to the volunteers, employees, vendors, sponsors, exhibitors, and Fair guests who helped make this amazing event possible.

This year, The Fair was thrilled to provide the community with seven days of free or reduced gate admission, made possible by generous community partners. On Thursday, August 7, the first-ever Community Education Day was held, which provided free gate admission to all Whatcom County public, private, and tribal school employees. Guests who were not school employees received complimentary gate admission when they donated school supplies from a list of preferred items. The community’s response was incredible. The school supplies went to Blue Skies for Children, which will distribute them to Whatcom County students in need. This day was made possible by Trucordia.

Friday, August 8, marked the third annual Food Drive Friday, where guests received complimentary gate admission with a donation of four food items from a list of preferred donations. The community once again outdid itself, and this year’s contribution was the highest amount of food donations recorded. All food donations went to support the Whatcom County Food Bank Network. This day was made possible by Brown & Brown.

Other free or reduced gate admission days included Free Morning Admission on Sunday, August 10, made possible by Peoples Bank. This allowed guests the opportunity to attend Worship at The Fair, as well as explore the other fun things happening at The Fair. Monday, August 11, was First Responders Day, which gave complimentary gate admission to all law enforcement officers, EMTs, and firefighters, along with their spouse and children, made possible by Puget Sound Energy. Tuesday, August 12, was Military Appreciation Day, which honored the nation’s heroes by providing complimentary gate admission to all active-duty, retired, and veteran military personnel and their spouse and children, made possible by Victory Legal Services PLLC. Kids Day was Wednesday, August 13, and all children 12 and under received complimentary gate admission, made possible by WRS. Finally, on Thursday, August 14, was Western Washington University Day, where all WWU students, alumni, faculty, and staff received $2 off gate admission. With the help of generous community partners, The Fair was able to provide the community with these opportunities for free or reduced gate admission.

Exhibitors at this year’s Fair absolutely excelled. 4-H and FFA members poured hours of hard work into preparing for this year’s event. From raising livestock to making presentations, hobbies, art, and more, the barns consisted of standout animals and projects. Open class also saw a considerable number of prize-winning entries. Beautiful quilts graced the Peoples Bank Farm Pavilion, canned goods lined the shelves, stunning flowers brought pops of color, impressive Lego creations caught the eye of those passing by, and so much more. The Fair expresses its sincerest gratitude to all exhibitors for bringing their contributions to this year’s event. The Livestock Exhibit was sponsored by EPL Feed.
