Republic Services has launched “Committed to Serve,” a $20 million community investment initiative to recognize our essential frontline employees, their families, and small businesses in our community. We know small businesses are being hit the hardest during this time of uncertainty, and we are proud to do what we can to help. Our ‘Committed to Serve’ initiative is a gesture of support for both our employees and our local small businesses, many of whom are also our customers.
Over the next two months, Republic Services’ Bellingham and Whatcom County frontline employees will receive a weekly lunch, a weekly dinner for their families, and bi-weekly $100 gift cards ($400 per employee) to be spent locally at neighborhood restaurants, cafes, and eateries. This is our way to thank our dedicated employees, support our struggling small businesses, and help our resilient communities.
