Celebrate National Health Center Week!
Join us in Celebrating National Health Center Week!
Unity Care NW is pleased to announce we're hosting two exciting events during National Health Center Week (August 13-18):
- Tuesday, August 14: We'll welcome Beth Toner, Senior Communications Officer with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She will speak about ways that we can create and sustain a “Culture of Health” in our community. Mauri Ingram, President and CEO of the Whatcom Community Foundation, will guide the conversation, with an opportunity for Q&A and a reception to follow. The event will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the brand new Sylvia Center for the Arts. This event is free and open to the public, but please RSVP by replying to this e-mail or call 360-594-6617.
- Thursday, August 16: Join us at the Pickford Film Center for a screening of “Ola: Health is Everything,” a documentary produced by the Hawaii Primary Care Association and the Hawaii State Department of Health. Learn how communities in Hawaii are implementing a “Culture of Health” (while enjoying some spectacular Hawaiian scenery). We are pleased to be joined by Matthew Nagato, the film’s writer, producer, and director, for a post-screening Q&A session. A reception will start at 5:00 p.m., followed by the screening at 5:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, but tickets must be picked up ahead of the event at the Pickford.
