Providers of Diverse Backgrounds Join the PeaceHealth Bellingham Community

PeaceHealth has welcomed nine new providers to the Bellingham community.
Mohammad Mohiddin, MD, joined PHMG’s Internal Medicines team of providers. Dr. Mohiddin earned a Doctor of Medicine at Avalon University School of Medicine in Santa Rosaweg, Curacao, and completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Mohiddin has medical interests in preventative medicine, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, diabetes, geriatrics, hypertension and high cholesterol. Allison Robinson, MD, joined PHMG’s General Surgery team of providers. Dr. Robinson earned her Doctor of Medicine at Uniformed Services University: F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland and completed her general surgery internship and residency at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Robinson is a retired Captain in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy with 25 years of military service and medical practice. Among her military honors, she was named Top Surgeon in the Navy, 2007-2009, by a patient satisfaction survey and most recently received her seventh Most Productive General Surgeon achievement. Tammy Snyder, ARNP, joined PHMG’s Same Day Care Clinic team of providers. Tammy earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio and completed her Advanced Nurse Practitioner Certification at the University of Toledo as well. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to joining the Same Day Care Clinic team of providers, Tammy practiced at Parkview FirstCare Walk-in Clinic in Archbold, Ohio. Mary Schweigert, MSN, AGNP-C, RCES, joined PHMG’s Cardiology team of providers. Mary earned her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner at the University of Cincinnati School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is one of the few nurses in the PeaceHealth system who is a registered cardiac electrophysiology specialist. Mary has special interests in heart rhythm and arrythmia management with a focus on atrial fibrillation. She is pleased to be part of a nurse-led clinic working toward a decrease in all-cause mortality and adverse cardiac events while improving medication adherence for patients. Therese Horan, MSN, ARNP, CNM, joined PHMG’s OB-GYN team of providers. Therese completed her Master of Science and Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner Program and certification as a nurse midwife at Seattle University in Seattle, Washington. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Midwifery Certification Board. Though Therese’s background is in family practice and OB-GYN, she has a special interest in adolescent health. She has had the privilege to provide OB-GYN care in a variety of unique environments and brings a unique perspective, cultural sensitivity and willingness to think outside of the box from these diverse experiences. Sarah Heggie, FNP, joined PHMG’s Same Day Care Clinic team of providers. Sarah earned her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Sarah is an experienced practitioner with six years nursing experience in ambulatory care which includes urgent care clinics and home health care environments. Sarah is passionate about patient education and loves to talk with her patients about healthy lifestyle changes, nutrition and exercise. Mohammed Aboelsoud, MD, joined PHMG’s Gastroenterology team of providers. Dr. Aboelsoud earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Mansoura School of Medicine in Mansoura, Egypt. His Gastroenterology Research Fellowship was completed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His Internal Medicine Residency was completed at Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. His Gastroenterology Fellowship was completed at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Aboelsoud has an outstanding research base that has focused on fecal microbiota transplant, hepatitis and colon cancer screenings. Ali Hejazi, MD, joined PHMG’s Neurology team of providers. Dr. Hejazi completed his Doctor of Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Thran, Iran. His Internship and Adult Neurology Residency was completed at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. His Neurophysiology Fellowship and Adult Epilepsy Fellowship was completed at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. He is board-certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and ABPN: Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Hejazi has special medical interests in neurophysiologic studies, management of drug-resistant epilepsy and surgical evaluation of epilepsy along with headache management and neurovascular diseases. His Neuromuscular Fellowship was completed at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Weill Cornell Medical Centre in New York, New York. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has special medical interests in diseases of the motor neuron, inherited and acquired diseases of the muscle and nerve, abnormal neuromuscular junction transmission and electrodiagnostic testing.
