Frida Emalange, owner and president of Bellingham-based Zorganics, Inc., recently earned the top certification offered by a national esthetician trade organization.

The National Coalition of Estheticians, Manufacturers/Distributors & Associations (NCEA) awarded Emalange its NCEA Certified credential for demonstrating knowledge and skill in advanced facial and body treatments, skin conditions and disorders, infection control procedures and human physiology and anatomy. It’s the highest skin-care credential available in the country, according to the NCEA, and only seven other estheticians in Washington state have earned it.

Emalange launched Zorganics Institute Beauty and Wellness, a private school for aspiring cosmotologists, estheticians, massage therapists and nail technicians, at Bellingham’s Bakerview Square in October 2018. She will lead its Master Esthetician Program that begins Aug. 23.

Emalange  also opened Zorganics Cosmetics, featuring an extensive line of natural, organic products for hair, skin and body care, last December in Bellingham’s Bellis Fair mall and has operated salons and day spas  in Bellingham and Bellevue since 2001.
