You are invited to become part of Community Engagement Fellows (www.cefellows.org) in 2019-2020!  CE Fellows is a community of practice which facilitates the growth of learning partnerships that nurture engaged citizens, serve the public, and improve our bioregion and the planet.

Participation is free and open to all. Participants include those working in higher education, government, non-profits, P-12 schools, and other community organizations. Profiles of the 2018-2019 Fellows can be viewed here.

There are two ways for you to get involved in the coming year:

1. Whatcom County Cohorts: Whatcom County cohorts are groups of 8-12 Fellows who meet eight times between October and May (roughly monthly) for a two-hour facilitated meeting. Many cohorts meet in Bellingham, but some meet elsewhere in the county. There are multiple cohorts, so you can pick one that meets at a time and place that works for you. In our meetings, we discuss the design of healthy learning partnerships and support each other in advancing our work through activities like Design Clinics. Meetings are active and engaging. We value listening, reflection, and practical action. You’ll receive no homework or readings assignments.

If you’d like to join one of these cohorts for 2019-2020, please fill out the brief Whatcom County Cohorts 2019-2020 Form.

2. Event Invitations: We host a variety of events such as forums and retreats in Bellingham and other parts of the region such as southern Puget Sound, Friday Harbor and Galiano Island. These events are active social learning spaces like the Whatcom County cohort meetings.

If you’re not yet on the invitation list for these events, please fill out the brief Event Invitees Form.

Travis Tennessen of the WWU Center for Community Learning would be happy to answer your questions about CE Fellows. He'd also enjoy meeting with you in person, if that's helpful. Email him at travis.tennessen@wwu.edu
