DAWSON CONSTRUCTION LEADERSHIP TRANSITIONS

Dawson Construction announced transitions of four positions within the company’s leadership. Pete Dawson is transitioning from President to CEO; Kendall Nielsen is moving from Vice President of Alaska to President; Jeremy Carroll from Vice President of Washington to Vice President of Alaska; and Ryan Binning from Director of Business Operations to Vice President of Washington.

Pete Dawson has been the President and CEO of Dawson Construction since taking over ownership from his father, Jack Dawson, in 1997. He established Dawson’s mission of “building with leadership, predictability and value to ensure successful construction projects.” He has emphasized a culture of continuous improvement and is dedicated to building enduring industry relationships through fair and honest management which focuses on win-win solutions for all team members. “I am proud of the success the company has experienced which is due to our quality people doing quality work. I have confidence in the company’s continued success in the hands of new leadership as I focus on overall company strategy and direction.” Says Pete Dawson.

Kendall Nielsen joined Dawson in 2017 and has increased Alaska revenues each year since. Kendall’s new role as President will allow him to continue building relationships and increasing company success in Alaska and Washington. “I look forward to continuing building relationships with our current partners and establishing new partnerships in Alaska and Washington. Jeremy Carroll has been a leader at Dawson for seven years. He has built Dawson’s portfolio of affordable, non-traditional, and market rate housing as well as leading the implementation of Dawson’s Civil Division. “I am excited to shift my focus to work in Alaska and the unique conditions the region presents,” Jeremy says. “I am proud of our work in Washington and confident that Ryan will continue to lead with success.”

Ryan Binning’s success in the Director of Business Operations mirrors his dedication to his teams and fostering a climate of continuous improvement. Ryan has significantly enhanced Dawson’s use of modeling, Trimble, and other hardware and software platforms, and expanded the Training and Development Program. “This is a great opportunity to continue working to improve Dawson’s processes, technology, and help develop our people’s strengths.” Ryan says. “I look forward to building Dawson’s portfolio in Washington and helping our people deliver successful projects for our clients.” Dawson Construction is a leading builder in Alaska and Washington whose emphasis on safety, quality, environmental sustainability, and the delivery of successful projects has instilled pride in the company and earned the Dawson team recognition as recipients of multiple construction industry awards, including the Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) Gold Partnership, AGC Build Washington Awards for Construction Excellence, and annual awards for Safety.
