WTA Continues Temporary Service Reduction

WTA is planning to continue its temporary service reduction until September 20, 2020.  We recognize as we move through Washington’s Safe Start Phase 2 and beyond, and our community continues to “open up,” there will be more people wanting and needing to travel to more places. We know our service reduction will make this difficult for some.
Unfortunately, it is necessary. Our current level of service is what we’re able to sustain, now and throughout this summer, based on:
  • The availability of bus drivers
  • The availability of staff and supplies to keep our buses and facilities clean and safe
  • Our capacity to add service on our busiest routes, to allow for greater physical distancing onboard
We would like to hear from riders and members of the community. In the next two weeks, we’ll be distributing an online survey. Among other things, this survey will help us determine where to add service—in case additional capacity becomes available—to help meet the needs of our community.
In the meantime, please send questions, comments  and requests for service to customerservice@ridewta.com.
