Whatcom Literacy Council’s annual TRIVIA BEE & Silent Auction
Friday, May 1st, 2020 at BTC’s Settlemyer Hall 6 pm – 9:15 pm.
NEW DATE: November 14th, 2020!!

The Whatcom Literacy Council will be hosting their 24th Annual TRIVIA BEE & Silent Auction from 6 p.m. to 9 pm on Saturday, November 14th, 2020 at Bellingham Technical College’s Settlemyer Hall in Campus Center.
This new date was chosen in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health directives set this month restricting events for large numbers of people. We are hoping that by November 14th the health crisis will be over. All current sponsors and teams that have already registered will be honored at the event on the new date.

Join co-hosts Scotty VanDryver of KAFE Radio and Jeopardy! star Ken Jennings and match wits with other members of the community. 32 teams, sponsored by local businesses, will compete against each other in four qualifying rounds leading up to the final round with eight teams. The winner goes home with the traveling “Totten Trophy.” There is an award for the best CHEER section of the audience.

The evening begins with a silent auction at 6 p.m., with items donated by local businesses, and the Trivia Bee competition starts promptly at 7 p.m. This year there will be a cash bar with beer and wine, as well as cookies, coffee and slices of pizza available for donation.

All proceeds go to support the Whatcom Literacy Council’s free literacy programs for adults here in Whatcom County.

Teams of three may register by emailing events@whatcomliteracy.org ($750 for a Corporate Team, $375 for a Self-Sponsored team.) CHEER tickets cost $15 per person, and will be available at Village Books, or at the door.
