Zorganics Institute Beauty and Wellness of Bellingham is offering free hair and skin-care services each Wednesday to anyone suffering from cancer.

The services are available by appointment only by calling (360) 392-8243. Zorganics Institute Beauty and Wellness, a Bellingham school for anyone seeking to start or advance careers as cosmotologists, barbers, estheticians and nail technicians, is located in Bakerview Square at 410 W. Bakerview Road, No. 112.

Zorganics Institute is directed by Frida Emalange, president of Zorganics LLC, who has operated salons and day spas in Bellingham and Bellevue since 2001. Emalange also developed a comprehensive Zorganics brand of organic hair and skin-care products, which she sells at Zorganics Cosmetics in Bellingham’s Bellis Fair mall.

”Our principles are based on a holistic approach to beauty, health, wellness and overall well-being on an individual level,” Emalange said. ”Cancer patients already are dealing with so many worries and expenses that we want to help them look and feel better about themselves.”

The Zorganics Institute’s courses cover barbering, cosmetology, beginning and master esthetics, nail technology, massage therapy, instructor training, post-graduate classes and Zorganics makeup. Enrolling is taking place now for courses ranging from six months to just over a year long. An open house for prospective students will be presented from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4.

The student salon offers many services to the public. Students are under the supervision of licensed instructors.

Zorganics Institute is seeking accreditation candidate status from the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences. For more information about the Zorganics Institute courses or student salon, call (360) 392-8243 or visit www.zorganicsinstitute.com.
