Remarkable peace building work is taking place in our community. Will you join the WDRC in honoring eight individuals, projects, and organizations who have helped build peace in Whatcom County? Each of this year’s award winners represent unique and important efforts to build trust, promote healing, resolve conflicts, and contribute to a more peaceful community.

The 2019 Peace Builder Award winners will be recognized at the Peace Builder Awards Gala, presented by Peoples Bank, on November 15th at Bellingham Technical College’s Settlemyer Hall. In addition to the awards ceremony, the event features a silent auction and dessert dash, live music, and poetry readings by the winners of the 2019 Youth Peace Poetry Contest. The event is expected to sell out, so buy your tickets early!
