Vocational Training Program
VTP is an income-based program, and DISH also partners with Whatcom County through the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) to support eligible participants.
Class times and dates are determined based on mentor availability, instructors, and training facilities, which may vary by season. Participant and family needs are also taken into consideration when scheduling sessions.
DISH takes a holistic approach, working closely with participants, families, mentors, and community partners to create the best environment for meaningful growth and long-term success.

Vocational Training Program
VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM (VTP)
The D.I.S.H. Foundation’s Vocational Training Program is a self-paced culinary training program designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Participants work alongside a mentor while building practical skills in a supportive environment and progressing at their own pace.
The program focuses on developing independence and confidence through hands-on experience in the culinary field, including:
