Coppinger Carter, P.S., a Whatcom County law firm that for over a decade has primarily focused on personal injury, insurance and employment-related legal issues, recently added two attorneys for its offices in Bellingham and Everson.
The firm’s founder, Carrie Coppinger Carter, is an Everson native and a graduate of Nooksack Valley High School, University of Washington and Seattle University School of Law. Coppinger Carter has more than 20 years of legal experience. She now is joined by Emmelyn Hart and Kelly Elford.
Hart is a Senior Attorney with Coppinger Carter, P.S., leading the firm’s expanding appellate practice and also serving its employment practice. With more than 20 years of experience, her work embraces a broad range of disciplines across multiple jurisdictions. Hart has been recognized numerous times by her peers as a Super Lawyer in Super Lawyers Magazine and ranked as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Washington by Seattle Met Magazine.
Elford is an Associate Attorney. His primary focus for the past 15 years has been in personal injury law, assisting with motor vehicle accidents, falls and medical malpractice claims. Elford is a member of the Washington State Association for Justice and was recently recognized by the Washington State Bar Association with a service commendation for his pro bono work.
