Bellingham, WA – Blue Skies for Children is pleased to announce the appointment of Hailey Linville to its Board of Directors. Hailey brings a strong background in leadership, youth advocacy, and community engagement that will help strengthen the organization’s mission and impact.

Hailey Linville currently serves as a Program Coordinator with Puget Sound Energy, where she has used her background in science and environment to positively impact our energy landscape. In addition, Hailey has demonstrated a deep commitment to equity, youth development, and building opportunities for underserved populations through her involvement with Girls on the Run and her creation of Girls on Wheels. Her expertise in program development and organizational strategy will be invaluable to Blue Skies as it continues to grow.

Hailey joins Blue Skies as the Board of Directors embarks on a strategic planning process to shape the organization’s vision for the next three to five years. This important work will guide how Blue Skies expands its enrichment and essential needs programs and strengthens its ability to respond to the changing needs of children and families in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. Hailey’s experience and leadership will be instrumental in helping chart a sustainable path forward.

“We are excited to welcome Hailey to our board,” said Matthew Roth, Board President. “Her leadership experience and passion for children will be a tremendous asset as we expand our reach and deepen our impact.”

Established in 1997, Blue Skies was created out of a need in our local community. In 2002, Blue Skies became a 501(c)(3) and hired its first executive director. Its mission is to raise hope and self-esteem by sponsoring enrichment programs and other essentials for homeless, low-income and foster children in Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
