On Topic - The AI Genie Is Out of the Bottle - Now Who's in Charge?
Leadership, Governance, and Responsible AI in the Workplace
Artificial Intelligence tools like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini are quickly becoming part of everyday work. Employees are already using them to write emails, analyze information, and generate content.

Ideally, organizations would have had policies in place long before the AI Genie came out of the bottle. Instead, many are realizing they need guardrails for AI use, while others are still taking a wait-and-see approach.

This one-hour session builds on Garry Priam’s last On Topic session, “AI for Local Business Growth – Practical Tools with a Human Touch,” and focuses on what organizations and leaderships must begin doing now: establishing clear guardrails for responsible and effective AI use.

Why Attend:
AI adoption is moving quickly, and many organizations have not yet decided what responsible AI use should look like in their workplace. This session helps leaders begin thinking about how AI should be used at work. We’ll also discuss why it’s important to involve experienced professionals who understand AI, organizational practices, and change management - the people side of change, rather than relying on an AI tool alone to generate policies or a roadmap.

You’ll walk away with:
• A clearer understanding of how AI is showing up in workplaces
• Awareness of key risks organizations should consider
• Insight into why AI governance matters for leadership
