Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, Wash., will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2017. What began as a “college without walls” is now regarded as one of the nation’s top two-year colleges (Aspen Institute). We will honor the positive impact Whatcom has had in our community and in the lives of our graduates at events throughout the year. And we invite community groups, businesses and community college supporters to join us!

Currently in development, the proposed calendar of events includes activities such as:
  • Campus open house events, including a fall focus on WCC’s highly regarded STEM programs
  • Lecture series with prominent community college advocates
  • Curriculum integration
  • History display and community event at Whatcom Museum and on campus (proposed)
  • Educational films at Pickford Film Center (proposed)
  • Participation in community events
  • Community service activities
  • Community Chautauqua
  • Alumni events
  • A fundraising gala to benefit student scholarships and college programs.

Please consider joining us as we showcase how Whatcom Community College helps graduates to transform their lives and our community to thrive.
