with a Stroke GOLD PLUS Achievement Award

 
BELLINGHAM, Wash., May 22, 2017 – PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center was recognized this May with a Stroke GOLD PLUS achievement award for 2017 by the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association.
 
The continued success in using the Get With The Guidelines®–Stroke and Target StrokeSM for 24 consecutive months and in achieving measureable improvements in patient outcome and care in the Bellingham and surrounding communities resulted in PeaceHealth St. Joseph receiving this quality award recognition.

The Get With The Guidelines ®–Stroke and Target StrokeSM is an in-hospital program for improving stroke care by promoting consistent adherence to the latest scientific treatment guidelines.  As a program participant, PeaceHealth St. Joseph joins with 1,656 hospitals nationwide that have collectively entered more than two million patient records into the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke database.
