Home Safety Modifications to make your home more dementia friendly.
When someone has dementia, navigating the home environment changes. Learn new strategies to create a safe space, such as protecting medication, clearing pathways, making identification easily accessible to others, and more!
Guest speaker Carli Barrios is a Speech Language Pathologist and owner of Catalyst Therapies in Bellingham. She is a graduate of Western Washington University who fell in love with Bellingham and couldn't leave. She began her career in brain injury rehabilitation and continued on to work in a variety of settings including home health care.
She found passion for working with the elderly and those with dementia. It became her personal passion when her grandfather was diagnosed.
