The Northwest Washington Fair Association (NWWFA) has reached an out-of-court settlement, currently pending court approval, with the families involved in a suit regarding the transmission of E. coli linked to an event held at the fairgrounds in 2015. The settlement, was agreed upon before the suit was brought to trial, and it immediately resolves the case against the Fair Association.

According to attorneys representing the NWWFA, the parties to this settlement agree that the Fair Association does not admit any wrongdoing or negligence in connection with the outbreak.
