Cascade Natural Gas Commercial & Industrial Conservation Program Gives Anacortes Independent Living Community $4,272 for Energy-Efficient Equipment
Anacortes, WA
Join representatives from CNGC on Wednesday, May 9th at 11:00 am as they present a check to Cap Sante Court for their energy-efficient project.  Cap Sante Court earned $4,272 in rebates from Cascade Natural Gas (CNGC) for installing energy-efficient equipment.
The independent living community in Anacortes, Wash., was tired of dealing with their 1980s’ boiler and its unreliability, energy waste and costly maintenance requirements. When the boiler started to impact resident comfort, they knew they had to make a change. They looked into available incentives from Cascade Natural Gas and realized it was an easy decision to purchase new, high efficiency equipment rather than repair.
Cap Sante upgraded their property with two new energy-efficient boilers and three tankless water heaters with help from Cascade Natural Gas Trade Ally, Handy’s Heating in Mount Vernon. Cap Sante’s investment paid itself off right away with a 19-percent reduction in their quarterly costs when compared to the previous year.
Reduced maintenance, enhanced comfort.
Cap Sante’s facilities staff have embraced the new equipment. In addition to taking up less space, the new boilers and tankless water heaters don’t require constant and time-consuming maintenance. The residents love the reliability too—they now enjoy consistent heat and hot water.
“Everyone is happy with our equipment upgrades,” says Jack Hamilton, Director, Cap Sante Independent Living Community. “The Cascade Natural Gas staff was very easy to work with and the incentives came very quickly.”
Cascade’s C&I Conservation Incentive Program offers rebates for measures to reduce the consumption of natural gas on both existing buildings and new construction. For additional information about incentives please contact Bradey Day at 503-360-7337 or visit www.cngc.com/conservation.
