Dollars that make a difference

The Movement Mortgage foundation exists to bring life, light and hope to community across the globe. But how, exactly, does that happen? Here's an overview — by the numbers — of where and how Movement Foundation has impacted communities.

In 2016, Movement Foundation invested more than $9.5 million in communities. That includes starting Movement School ($3.6 million); creating a farm in Uganda ($225,000); and launching the Movement 10k giveaway ($60,000).

Since inception, the foundation has poured more than $25.8 million into communities overall. It includes opening the Movement Center ($2.4 million); participating in Toys for Tots ($330,000); and awarding mission trip grants to Movement team members (nearly $25,000).

Where else we've invested

The foundation's invested over $1 million to support Sugar Creek Charter School in west Charlotte. Some of those funds helped open a high school last year.

More than $375,000 has been given to International Cooperating Ministries, which constructs church buildings internationally. ICM has built one church a month for the past two years.
