Mount Vernon, WA . . . Camp Korey to Host Community Open House
June 2, 2018 – Camp Korey will host an open house to commemorate the completion of key buildings at the 200-acre therapeutic recreational camp for children living with life-altering medical conditions and their families.
This event marks a significant milestone in the camp’s ability to serve children and families since purchasing the 200-acre property in Mount Vernon. The Lee Lair underwent a renovation that includes a medication storage area, exam rooms, waiting room, a HVAC system, and Seattle-based artist Andrew Miller donated his time to create a large colorful mural that adorns the interior. The 2-story Harnish Hall, which serves as the main dining hall during camp, has a new kitchen, AC for our seriously ill campers and an arts & crafts room on the first level.
Camp Korey welcomes the public to attend a Community Open House scheduled from 1 pm-4 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
