Museum Members are invited to join together for the opening of this exhibition, on loan to the Museum for the first time from the Tacoma Art Museum. Enjoy lihjt appetizers, wine, and live music.

Presenting 75 artworks on loan from the Tacoma Art Museum, Art of the American West is unrivaled in its scope of western American art in the Pacific Northwest. The collection includes prominent nineteenth- and twentieth-century artists who influenced views of the American West, including Maynard Dixon, Robert Henri, Henry Inman, Paul Kane, John Nieto, Georgia O’Keeffe, Charles M. Russell, and Bill Schenck.
 
Art of the American West: Highlights of the Haub Family Collection from the Tacoma Art Museum was organized by Tacoma Art Museum, Tacoma, Wash. This exhibition is supported by Mary Summerfield & Mike O’Neal, Patti & Frank Imhof, Sue Lobland, the Whatcom Museum Advocates, the Whatcom Museum Foundation, and the City of Bellingham.
 
DOCENT TOURS: Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, 1:30 pm, beginning September 30, Lightcatcher building, 250 Flora St. Tours last one hour and are included with admission/members free.
