Alcoa Announces New Plant Manager

Ferndale (February 22, 2018) – Intalco Works announces that Ron Jorgensen has been named Plant Manager at Alcoa’s smelter in Ferndale, Washington. Jorgensen comes to Intalco from Alcoa’s Portland Smelter in Portland, Australia where he managed the Potrooms and Casthouse.
Jorgensen has been with Alcoa for 28 years in a variety of management and leadership roles and spent four years with Rio Tinto at the Boyne Aluminum Smelter as the carbon/electrode Manager.  In his career, 
Jorgensen has delivered improved safety performance, process stability, financials, and employee engagement. He is looking forward to working with the leadership team at Intalco for a sustainable future and continuing the long tradition of community engagement.
Jorgensen and his wife, Debbie, are living in Bellingham. They have three adult children and one grandchild who reside in Australia.  Ron is a 4th Degree Karate black belt and enjoys teaching and practicing martial arts.
